Legacy Swap
# Understanding the Equilibria Legacy Swap
What Is The Swap?
The XEQ Swap is a one-time token migration that moves your XEQ from the legacy blockchain to the new Equilibria mainnet.
This isn't a trade or an exchange. It's a direct 1:1 conversion of your existing XEQ to the new network. If you have 1,000 XEQ on the legacy chain, you'll receive 1,000 XEQ on the new mainnet.
What You'll Need
Before participating in the swap, you'll need two things:
1. A New Mainnet Wallet
You'll need to download the new mainnet wallet and create a new XEQ address. This is where your swapped coins will be delivered after the swap window closes.

2. The Legacy CLI Wallet
To submit a swap, you must use the legacy CLI (command-line interface) wallet. This is required because the CLI wallet generates the cryptographic transaction proof needed to verify your swap. GUI wallets cannot create this proof.
If you can send a transaction from a CLI wallet, you can participate in this swap.

How Does It Work?
During the Swap Window (35 Days)
You send your legacy XEQ to the designated swap wallet address using the CLI wallet
The system verifies your transaction by checking the cryptographic proof
Your swap is recorded in the swap database with your new mainnet destination address
During this 35-day window, the team securely holds all deposited XEQ in the swap wallet. This collection period allows everyone adequate time to participate and ensures all swaps are properly verified before the new mainnet launches.
After the Swap Window Closes
Once the 35-day swap window ends:
The total verified swap amount is calculated from all successful submissions
That exact amount is minted at the genesis block of the new mainnet
The minted coins enter the governance wallet for distribution
The team distributes coins to each participant's specified new mainnet address
You can track every step of this process through the Swap Tracker; from when your swap request was received, to when it was confirmed, to when your new XEQ is processed and paid out to your wallet.
The Swap Window
The swap operates within a specific 35-day period, measured in blockchain blocks rather than calendar dates. This window has a clear start and end point, giving everyone a defined period to participate.
What Makes This Secure?
Cryptographic Verification
Every swap submission includes a cryptographic proof - mathematical evidence that you actually own the XEQ you're swapping. This proof is verified automatically before your swap is confirmed. No proof, no swap. This prevents fraud and ensures only legitimate owners can claim new tokens.
Open Source Code
Both the swap backend system and the Swap Tracker are open sourced for verification purposes. Anyone can audit the code to confirm it operates exactly as described. No black boxes, no hidden logic - just transparent, verifiable code.
Full Transparency
The entire swap process is publicly auditable. The Swap Tracker dashboard shows:
Real-time status of the swap window (open, closed, blocks remaining)
Global statistics (total XEQ swapped, number of participants)
Every transaction in the swap ledger
Individual transaction details including verification status and payout confirmation
Anyone can verify that the swap is operating fairly. There are no hidden transactions, no special treatment, no behind-the-scenes manipulation. What you see is what's happening.
Transaction Lifecycle
When you submit a swap, your transaction moves through clear stages:
Pending
Your swap request has been received and is awaiting verification
Verified
Your proof has been validated — your swap is confirmed
Paid
New XEQ has been sent to your new mainnet address
You can track your specific transaction through each stage using the Swap Tracker. Once it shows "Paid," you'll see the exact transaction ID of your payout on the new mainnet - proof that your new tokens were delivered.
What If Something Goes Wrong?
Transactions can be rejected for specific, verifiable reasons:
Invalid proof — the cryptographic proof didn't validate (usually means the transaction wasn't sent correctly)
Expired — the transaction was submitted outside the swap window
In either case, the reason is clearly displayed. There's no ambiguity about why a swap didn't complete.
The Bottom Line
The XEQ Swap is designed to be:
Simple — send legacy XEQ, receive new XEQ
Secure — cryptographic verification protects against fraud
Transparent — every transaction is publicly verifiable, code is open source
Fair — same rules apply to everyone, no exceptions
Your XEQ has value. This swap ensures that value transfers safely to the new mainnet, with full visibility into every step of the process.
